Passport is a very heavily used and thoroughly appreciated software product.
Currently it has three regular duties at Digi-Key:
- As our Western Union/Easylink communications method, Passport is used several times a day to send and receive electronic mail both domestic and foreign. In this use it replaced a PC.
- To electronically submit charge card transactions (about 100 per day) to Citi-Bank, New York. We intend to eventually automate this function using the batch file submittal option.
- To communicate with other remote CCUR systems doing file transfer.
In all these applications Passport works flawlessly. It would be hard to get along without it.
